Gauging Nonprofit Success: Past Research, Present Gaps, Future Needs

This article is a literature review of academic and consulting-based attempts to measure nonprofit effectiveness and health. These methods have largely failed to capture the dynamics of nonprofit organizational success. Learning from the gaps, Public Interest Management Group developed a new success metric, that is now central to the Success Factor Analysis methodology.
